BMA Houston provides internships at companies who are BMA members for the Summer, Fall, and Spring semesters. Students seeking hands-on experience in the field of advertising and marketing are encouraged to apply for an internship with BMA Houston. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about various aspects of advertising and marketing. Internships average approximately 300 hours on a schedule to be determined by the student and Sponsor Company. BMA Houston will award the Sponsor Company $1500, and the Sponsor Company will provide a matching $1500 for a total of $3000. Interns average approximately $10/hour which is a wonderful deal for the Sponsor Company and intern.

BMA will provide at least five internships in 2018. BMA works with host companies and college students or recent graduates in marketing and communications to provide educational and work opportunities for young people soon to enter the workforce. BMA has been providing organization and funding of this program since 1994.

BMA Internship Testimonials

“BMA helped me get an internship which helped me learn about various scripting languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#. Furthermore it taught me about web design and gave me valuable experience working with a team and using version control software for our projects.”

David Crawley University of Texas at Austin

“Through BMA Houston, I was placed in a summer internship. I'm a student at Ithaca College, and internships are always hard to find when it comes time for summer. BMA connected me with the perfect internship through my interests and areas of study. At Ithaca College, I've done some work in magazine design and journalism. As a Marketing Intern with the company, I was able to work in an area that I had not explored before. Some of my responsibilities included design management for videos, HTML emails and flyers.”
